Hi, all! We’ve been busy this weekend here at the knuckleheadranch.com. I’ve been sewing bags and making crafts for some upcoming craft fairs. I’ve been baking and reviewing recipes.
I still have the kittens, but they may be going to a new home today. Yeah!! I have really enjoyed the kittens. They have been sleeping with me the past couple of nights. It is so fun to watch them run and jump and play. Wish I had that much energy! The dogs aren’t happy because they got kicked out of the bedroom. The kittens are now potty trained to the litter box and are eating soft food. They have sharp little claws and teeth.
My Gemma Lee, female Bully, is in her third heat cycle. Poor thing. She is tired and grumpy sometimes. She won’t keep her little period panties on. You think that’s funny but here they are. She goes outside and finds a way to get them off. I am going to breed her this fall to her boyfriend Ozzy. This will be our last attempt at breeding. It is a stressful process for me and her. We have to do artificial insemination. If we get puppies this time, I will have her spayed when they are born. The puppies have to be taken by cesarean section. It’s a big deal and expensive.
My Iggy has been needing a haircut, so we got to it yesterday afternoon. I have an [easyazon_link identifier=”B0018KVHNA” locale=”US” tag=”ajreeves512-20″]Andis Pet Pro trimmer[/easyazon_link] and it works like a charm. Needless to say, fur goes
everywhere, so we cut hair on the porch. I am not very
good at trimming yet. Iggy always looks a little ragged afterward, but we cut off the excess with scissors. Iggy is very patient with the process.
I have also been trying some of my Alison’s Pantry products this week. The big hit was the Janey Lou’s Cinnamon Rolls with her cream cheese icing. Ooolala! Delicious. It’s a good thing they come individually so I can only make one or two at a time. My poor co-workers always get experimented on with my food projects. This time they were thrilled with the rolls. I also made the Alison’s Pantry Panko Crusted Tilapia Filets. The filets are tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Head on over to the Alison’s Pantry website and look through the current catalog.
I also tried to bake some donuts in my [easyazon_link identifier=”B01MU2JPTW” locale=”US” tag=”ajreeves512-20″]BakingMissy Silicone baking pans.[/easyazon_link] The recipe came from Wilton, but it wasn’t very tasty. The batter didn’t rise much in the pan. I didn’t even bother to take pictures. The pans clean up nicely. I just need to find the right recipe.
The wind is still blowing here in Southern Utah. It’s spring time. I don’t know why I’m annoyed. It happens every year during this season. The wind makes it difficult to get anything done outside unless you start before the sun comes up. My garage project is on hold because of the wind.
I am going to attend the All things Silhouette Conference in Peachtree City, GA this coming June. Today is registration day for the great classes being offered at the conference. There will be approximately 500 people attending, so it’s a race to get signed up for all the classes I want to take. My sister and I will be meeting up in Atlanta. I haven’t seen her in person for quite a while. I am excited for this opportunity to spend time with her.
