I’m off on an adventure to Puerto Lobos, Mexico. A friend and I are heading out for a vacation. We went down to Lobos last November and had a great time.
Lobos is a small fishing village on the west side of the state of Sonora, Mexico. Located on the Gulf of California. There aren’t much in the way of luxuries in Lobos. However, if you’re interested in beautiful views, sunshine, peace and quiet, and some great fishing, this is an awesome place to visit.
We are going to explore the town of Caborca, go fishing, do some stand-up paddle boarding, and practice our dutch oven cooking skills. My friend is fluent in the language and that helps a ton to communicate. I’m always nervous to visit places where I can’t speak the language. I’ve been trying to learn basic Spanish.
We are acquainted with a family in Lobos and stay in a camper on their property. My friend has been visiting Lobos since he was a kid. His Dad used to take the scouts there and later my friend took scouts down to Lobos.
It will be nice to get away for a while. I have friends looking after all of my critters. The baby chicks are getting big. I’ve given them a bigger enclosure to move around in. I’ve even had some baby ducks hatch in the barn. So cute!
I’ll include some new pics next post after the trip. Have a great week everyone!
