Happy Sunday Friends! The elves at the Knucklehead Ranch wish you Happy Holidays.
I hope you are all healthy and happy. Currently, I have a bad cold; laryngitis, body aches, fatigue, and congestion. The cold isn’t stopping me from creating beautiful gifts though. As long as I move slow and take a nap when I get tired, I can keep going.
The wood pile is dwindling as the cold weather finally sets in here in Southern Utah. It’s been down to seven degrees here. Yikes. The water tanks for the goats and chickens have been frozen for a few days. It is the time of year where I have to carry five-gallon buckets of water out each day. My chickens are still laying eggs. Yea! Fresh eggs for boiling, baking, and scrambling.
I’ve had some requests for gifts that I haven’t made before. The crocheted nylon dish scrubbies that can be put in the dishwasher when dirty. Sweatshirts and t-shirts with vinyl decals. I’m really excited to try these projects. I haven’t knitted or crocheted this year as I’ve been so busy with my Silhouette Cameo and Plat heat press. I bought this Pom-Pom maker on Amazon and it is really awesome. It is very easy to use.
This really is my favorite time of year. I love my wood stove so much. I love being inside my warm house with my fur babies.
My birthday is coming up in a few days too. I am old! Or at least I feel old. For my 50th birthday, I went to New Zealand. For this birthday, I am staying in the house.
I made a gluten-free bread with this recipe from Pinterest. It turned out well. The recipe makes two small loaves. Sort of the consistency of quick bread. You could add more spices, a banana, or some other sort of fruit. It’s pretty tasty with butter melted on a slice. If you double the recipe, you could get a regular size loaf.
I would love to see some of the crafts, gifts, and goodies you all have been making. Send me some pics.
Have a good week,
