Just checking in to say hi and share what we’ve been up to here at the Knucklehead Ranch. The weather looks like snow, but so far nothing but rain.
I have completed the top of my Checker Board quilt kit which I ordered during a half off sale from Craftsy. The designer is Kate Colleran featuring Boundless Fabrics. It’s great to have a day off from work to “work” on crafty projects. Ya!
Other than a few issues with the instructions, I managed to put together a quilt top resembling the original photo in the kit. Several of my blocks have three colors in them rather than two. Oopsie! Oh well, I’m not entering a contest.
If you have room to spread out it helps with organizing the blocks. I’m lucky to have a craft room for making messes. However, the dining room table makes an awesome flat surface for crafting.
Next, I’ll need to purchase batting and build the quilt backing. Also, the binding will need to be cut. I recently purchased some cool binding tools.
As I get to these next steps, I will share the progress with you all. Have a great week. Don’t forget to visit my great affiliate partners by clicking on their links in the post and on sidebars.
