So I caught myself saying, “If I break a hip tripping over one more of you damn dogs, I’m going to be really pissed”. Oh my gosh! I can’t get in my bed. I can’t get out of my bed, I can’t get out the front door. I can’t get in the front door. I can’t go to town by myself because some dog or another is trying to get out of the gate and into the car. I can’t even take a pee by myself.
I’m sure that those of you that have children feel much the same way. As much as I love all my furry critters, some days I wish I had gold-fish instead. The chickens have been pecking and eating all of my beautiful eggs. I’ve had to get my neighbor to come over twice a day to collect eggs before they get ruined. I’ve put wooden eggs in the nests. I’ve looked at every beak out there and can’t find the culprit. I’ve put out oyster shell. The chickens have places to roost, and plenty of food. I think they are bored. I am “fixin” to get a critter cam and leg bands for each bird to see who is doing it. Bah!
Anyway, can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? It’s been almost a year since I started the blog. I was way more motivated last year to put a lot of work into this project. I have found that to make or create something, then I have to take pictures of the process, and then write a post about it, and finally try to get people to read my blog hasn’t been all that easy. I am trying to be patient with myself. I do have some great Affiliate partners like Craftsy, Expressions Vinyl, and Happy Crafters! I need subscribers and email addresses. I know what it’s like to have 9 million junk emails. It’s hard to read everything and we have to prioritize our time. My goal for this next year will be to get an e-commerce site going to sell my crafts.
Speaking of crafts. I have been busy making potholders, Christmas decor pillows,
see thru zipper bags and lots of Flour Sack tea towels with great designs on them. I love my heat press. It makes getting everything perfectly pressed easy.
I have a bunch of projects in the works. Ceramic monograms tiles, see-thru zipper bags, pom-pom banners, and more sewing crafts. I haven’t even started on my new quilt kits yet.
favorite at work. Oooooooo with a little carton of cold milk!
I also made this Crock Pot Low-carb Taco Soup. The recipe came from Leah at beyerbeware.net. I used sausage from my pigs. It was very delicious with the cheese and cilantro on top.
More crafts and baking ideas to come. See you next week.
