Hello, friends! I wanted to tell you about my awesome new sewing machine, a Brother Project Runway XR9500PRW .
For many years, I have used a Husqvarna-Viking Sew Easy Sewing machine. A great little machine. I have sewn with every kind of fabric including thick fleece. The Sew Easy machine had a buttonhole capability and basic stitches. I just recently gave my Husqvarna sewing machine to a friend who is just learning to sew. It will serve her for many more years.
My new Brother machine has some cool capabilities. There are 100 stitches and a 140 stitch functions from straight stitch to decorative stitches. I can embroidery or monogram letters with it. The machine has eight styles of 1-step auto-size buttonholes, an oversized wide table to use when quilting, bobbin winding, free arm for cuffs and sleeves, LED light, easy to read display, change needle position option, and a hard-cover. It comes with seven sewing feet: including the zipper, overstitch, buttonhole, button, zigzag, blindstitch and monogramming feet. Also, three needle sets, bobbins, extra spool pin, power cord and of course the manual.
I have made jean and t-shirt quilts with the new machine. Jean squares are heavy and thick. The Brother Project Runway sewing machine handled it with no problem. I have made bags, pot holders, clothes, curtains, you name it! The sewing machine is easy to thread, and runs smoothly with minimal noise. The bobbin just drops into its compartment so easily. The LED light is bright. The Brother presser feet just
unclip and it is easy to put on a different one.
I will include some photos here of projects I have made with this machine. The Brother PRW machine makes sewing your own projects fun.
