I am always looking for ways to earn additional income. I have almost always had two jobs during my adult life. In the past, I have created and sewn many items to sell. I have made and sold T-shirt and jean quilts. I have made zipper pouches and tote bags. To save for a New Zealand trip last year, I sold these great little potholders.
Since transferring to a job closer to home, I have more time to work on some of my projects. And, more time to find additional income.
I have been building a large garage over the past two years. I need to build a new chicken coop. I decided to start a blog this year, and I signed up to be an Alison’s Pantry representative. I am always thinking of the next project.
Alison’s Pantry is a family owned company based in Pleasant Grove, Utah. A friend introduced me to Alison’s Pantry a couple of years ago. I have purchased some of their delicious food products and some really fun non-food items. Everything I’ve purchased has been of very good quality.
So, I thought why not apply to be an Alison’s Pantry Representative. I appreciate the idea of a family-oriented business. The catalog is always full of awesome products like restaurant quality foods: meats, seafood, cheese, veggies, side dishes, baked good, snacks, bulk spices, food storage, preparedness items, and other items great for the pantry. I can do this job part-time to supplement my income. And, I am a big fan of cast iron cooking utensils, pots, and pans. Alison’s has Camp Chef products.
I signed up in January to be a rep., and have just turned in my first set of customer orders. Next week is the delivery week for my orders. I am excited to see all of the products my customers have ordered. The big semi truck will come right to my house with everything in the order. Then I will inventory and organize everyone’s items. After that, I will deliver or have folks pick up their cool stuff! I will share some photos next week.
It has been a bit of a challenge to find new customers. I am somewhat shy about approaching people who I don’t know. My family doesn’t live here in Utah, so I don’t have their help to spread the word. However, I really do believe in Alison’s Pantry products. Every item is reasonably priced, and 100% guaranteed.
Although I am single, I feel that it is smart to buy in bulk and store items in the freezer. Frozen fruits and vegetable are just as nutritious as fresh produce. Many of the Alison’s Pantry fruits and veggies are IQF or individually quick frozen. From fresh to quick frozen to your table! Meats that come in individual portions can be repackaged and frozen so you can take out only what you need. If I want a chocolate chip cookie, I just take one out of the freezer and pop it into my toaster oven to bake. I love that concept.
I probably won’t make a million dollars doing this work, but I will always have yummy food!
I am planning to offer some prizes and incentives for folks to order this next month, so stay tuned.
